Application Error Opening an App?

I have a Medion laptop that is a bit older and whenever I want to open anything there's something of an application error and I can't open it. How can I solve this problem?

The app will probably not be installed properly or it will not work on the machine - e.g. A 64-bit program in a 32-bit environment.

What I should have added is that that happens in everything I try to open. Not just for a specific app, but for everyone.

Then it will probably be the operating system itself. System files may be missing or corrupt ("corrupt").

And how should I fix the problem then?
