% localappdata% Minecraft file not found?

Have a nice evening everyone. Yes, yes, yes, Minecraft this game with the blocks from 2009, everyone should know. My nephew is now in the typical young gambler age. As a passionate gamer, I thought which game would be better for an 11 year old to start paddling than with Minecraft. He wants to tinker him with a few mods with which he can do all these "cool things". With the key combination Win + R you get into the "Execute" menu.

"% localappdata%" then ensures that the folders with the game settings are opened. I have already done it several times and everything was great.

But since I'm on the laptop of the little one and got him the Java version (in my eyes the right full version) instead of the Microsoft version of Minecraft, I can't find the folders anymore. Entered the command, everything will be listed except the folder Minecraft 🙁

Does any of you Windows professionals out there have any idea what it could be?

Are there any other "ways" to get to these many small folders?

Pe

It's always been called "% appdata%".

lo

Minecraft is roaming, not local. You have to enter% appdata%.

So for me I have to add% appdata% and there appears a folder called .Minecraft and there I have to have it and there should be a mod folder if not you can make one for yourself

Pa

I just think% appdata%

Im

Just enter% appdata% at Win + R and see if there's a .minecraft folder.
