I absolutely need help: my Medion notebook is no longer working. When I turn it on, the power button lights up green and otherwise stays off. I hadn't turned it off, just closed the lid. I need an answer quickly.
Same result if you plug in the power cord?
Remove the battery and let it run in on the power cord.
Already tried, but still does not work
How do i remove the battery?
Nobody can tell you that, because you don't reveal the model…
Medion Notebook Akoya. Unfortunately, I do not know more either. The manual says that only a professional can remove it, so I'm confused.
If the battery is not removable, press the switch for a very long time, then it should "go out" completely, then switch it on again.
Try connecting a monitor - does an image show up?
If so, then it is the display or the connection to the display…
If he was brand new, I wouldn't fiddle around for long, but contact Medion. Should they take care of it.
Display is broken…
How much does it cost or is it for the ton? (It was brand new!)
What does he mean was brand new? How old is your Medion notebook?
It depends on the model and the hardware whether the repair is worthwhile or not. If your notebook is not too old and, thanks to good components, delivers a decent performance, a repair can make sense. If the new display is too expensive, I would connect an external monitor and continue to use it.
I don't know when I bought it, but it was on the closet for up to 1 year and I used it for the first time last week.
But it was on the cupboard for a maximum of 1 year and I used it for the first time last week.
If you do not know when you bought the notebook, you probably have no proof of purchase. Ergo it can't run on the manufacturer's warranty. Which model (type, serial number) is it exactly?

I think that's him
If this is your model, the repair is not worth it. The notebook now has no special performance and the price for a new display would exceed the current value of your notebook.
Do you still have the receipt somewhere? If so, I would give it a try. I can only advise against a repair and rather suggest a new purchase.
Not great news, but thank you
How does your father get this diagnosis? - Did he connect a monitor?
If the laptop was in a closet for 1 year, the first thing I would do was take care of the battery.
That's right, but I don't want to put honey around your mouth either. However, you can convert the notebook and maybe use it as a media center or retro gaming console. An HDMI connection is available.
He took him to the company and a colleague / specialist connected a monitor. Something appeared on the monitor.
I can't imagine that the display should break due to a 1 year storage in a cabinet. - How about a previously unused laptop? - That sounds pretty contradictory.
Have you ever looked in the manual to find out whether there's an Fn key combination for switching the screen on and off?
What is the exact model name on the nameplate?
