A solution to shadow of war?

I bought Shadow of War for a long time and got stuck relatively at the beginning. Specifically in the quest No Man's Land, where the bodyguard has to be killed. I defeat him every time and then the message comes that the quest has failed because I apparently died. After about three years off the game, I tried it on a new laptop and had the same problem again…

You have to interrogate him first, then you can kill him.
