Ways to expand memory to notebook?

I recently bought a laptop, but I noticed that it has only 256 GB SSD and no HDD memory. Assuming that this memory is not enough, what storage expansion options do I have? I was thinking of an SD card that is not immediately visible from the outside. Good idea? (I get a 256 GB SD card for about 50 euro).

MicroSD card via a card reader (maybe your notebook has even integrated one) is certainly a possibility. You can also use a USB stick or an external hard drive / external SSD.

But you have to be careful, there are many fake flash media in circulation. Therefore test directly after the purchase with H2Testw, otherwise data loss threatens! Although a fake memory card has the capacity to own it, but in reality has only a lot less and in use, the data is destroyed.

Alternative would be to swap the 256GB SSD for a larger model. But you should stay with SSD. 1TB: https://geizhals.de/...45357.html

Which notebook is it? Without indication, we can only guess. Otherwise unscrew and look. If necessary, just replace the SSD by a larger, but often can be CD drive or remove it is a m.2 SSD installed and still room for a SATA hard drive.

Comes on your notebook. There are notebooks that can record 2 hard disks. Mine z.b has a usual 2.5 "and a nvme (or so complains of the format?) In it. Here it would be easy to complete that accordingly.

Whether SD cards offer you the speed you want to work well, I do not know. At least one stopgap is it.

Personally, I would simply replace the hard drive with a larger one.

It is an Acer Aspire 7. Has no built-in CD drive

Which one exactly? According to the manufacturer, there are also models with 2 hard drives, so I would screw it on and see if there's still room for a second hard drive.

This can also be the case in the form of a m.2 connection on the mainboard.

It would be an Acer Aspire 7 A715-72G-72J7

Exactly your model I can't find on the internet unfortunately. But as I see it are installed in almost all models 2 hard drives, is called a m.2 SSD and an HDD. If yours does not have it, I assume strongly that only the m.2 SSD is installed and there's room for another hard drive! So let's open it down, of course, careful, do not touch any ladder.
