As already said, the shift key does not work anymore, just so happens. Have I changed anything on the keyboard? I have no idea. -It's a laptop keyboard so no cable keyboard, just so noted.
If the buttons do not work anymore you have 3 options.
External keyboard.
Swap keyboard
Tool to re-assign the keys, eg a key you never need to make the shift key.
