Gaming PC or console?

I actually planned to get a gaming PC in a few months. However, I have now researched PS5 and XBox Series X and am now wondering what is the better solution for me. The consoles would probably be a lot cheaper than the PC I would buy. At some point I will surely play on the PC (at the moment I'm doing it on my laptop…), but since I'm still at school at the moment and will only have the internship money available, the PC is quite expensive and the console seems to me to be a really good alternative.

The problem is that I have already bought some games for my laptop, but I can't play them because of the performance of the device. I didn't look at the system requirements at all, which was a huge mistake. The games cost a total of 150 euro (mostly old games) and I couldn't transfer them to the console as far as I know… That means I would have to buy them all again, but the gaming PC would be a lot more expensive than the console and Play together.

Furthermore, I do not know whether the whole DLC's and so are also available for the console.

By the way, I play Assassin's Creed (also Valhalla, as soon as it's out), Minecraft, Sims 4, The Witcher. Except for the newer Assassins Creed parts, everything buys on the laptop. With the PC / console, I would then also play more complex titles (mainly RPG, games with a focus on story; I never actually play multiplayer)

What do you think pays off more?

If you do not play multiplayer games, you can also get a console and save yourself the 60 euro / year fee for online gaming.

Keep in mind that games on consoles are always more expensive than on PC. I can only recommend buying the games at sales or in key shops.

A PC is something nice you can work on it better than on a laptop but PS also has really nice exclusive titles like the last of us 2 which is really cool but on a PC you also have games that are not on the Playstation so you have to know yourself what are the needs

So I would recommend a PC, it is a little more expensive but you can also work on it / go to school there are also free games on the PC.

Another argument of what is a matter of taste is the control, you have to think about what you prefer

For a basic PC confi you should put at least 500 euro on the table. For a more sustainable composition, invest 50 euro more in the mainboard, i.e. Approx. 550 euro.

If you want a PC that is comparable to the PS5, you can quickly get to well over 1000 euro, which is about twice the price of the console.

In terms of performance, the new consoles do not need to hide, they will be much stronger than the average PC.

The games mentioned, i.e. Large titles in general (except console exclusive titles), generally appear for all platforms, including all DLCs.

RPGs are great to play with controllers, probably even better than with mice, whereas Minecraft and Sims tend to do the opposite.

Of course, mods can only be used on a PC.
