Which graphics card should be installed in a gaming notebook at least, please for tips, is a Geforce 1660 Ti Mobil or a 1650 Gtx Mobile enough?
Define in your opinion "enough"
The graphics card should be enough so that I can still play a game on low with medium details in three years, so I don't have to play the games on high details
Something like that is most likely to be determined by which games should be played mainly on the book.
If it doesn't have to be the latest AAA premium shooters in maximum details, but rather simulations, CS: GO, Minecraft & Co. Then a card like a GTX 1650 for Full HD in medium details is enough.
Otherwise, it can also be a GTX 1660 (standard) with somewhat higher demands.
With more powerful cards from Nvidia's Geforce RTX series, you should check in advance whether it is a "normal" mobile GPU or a "Max-Q" variant. The latter versions have been slimmed down significantly compared to the normal mobile models in favor of lower power consumption and heat generation.
In your place I would look what you are currently playing and what the optimal system requirements are, then you should still be able to cope with it in 3-4 years…
Are you sure? Because the max q models are mostly built into expensive notebooks?
If the manufacturer has a brain (and that is the case with most laptops> 2000 euro), no Max-Q is installed. My model (HP Omen 17 ") with the 2070 has both and.
Then just take a look at what notebooks with a "normal" RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 cost on average.
With the RTX 2060 Max Q, the power target has been reduced by almost 50% compared to the RTX 2060 Mobile, which has a corresponding effect on the boost behavior. The memory clock was reduced by almost 25%.
In the so-called desktop replacements, such cards are even offered with desktop-like performance. Then in the tech specs "RTX 2060" without Mobile or Max Q is attached.
When the manufacturer has a brain
The "Max Q" make perfect sense for very compact or flat notebooks.
I don't deny it at all. This is about a gaming device… And there they are rather out of place ^^
That is absolutely correct. With a "normal" book in 15 "format (not at the same time in slim design), however, you shouldn't go beyond a GTX 1650.
