I've had only 1 laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and then played the Java Edition.

Now I have switched to a gaming PC which has Windows 10 Home 64-bit as operating system.

My question is whether I can install and play the Java edition of Minecraft on Windows 10 Home 64-bit again?

Why should not you be able to do that? Minecraft has now intigrated Java, so you do not need to install Java anymore.

Yes. Unless you copy the ".minecraft" folder to your new PC

Why should he be gone? This is stored on the servers and not on your PC. Only the single player you have to save and take.
