Minecraft Java Edition on laptop?

I don't have a PC, just a laptop (Windows 10). When I download Minecraft from the store, I get the Bedrock Edition. But I would like to play Minecraft's Java Edition because it is simply better. Is that possible on the laptop? If so, what do I need and how do I install it?
