What is the best way for wireless on the PC?

Since my structure does not allow me to put a LAN cable through the house and up the stairs, I wanted to ask what is the best way to have Wi-Fi on a PC (for gaming). Is it more of a WLAN stick (hardly, I think), a wireless card, a motherboard with built-in wireless receiver or as I've ever read: create a second Fritzbox as a repeater and then connect this with LAN s.Calculator. Which is the best and what would you give me then as a buy recommendation. (We have a 100k line and with my laptop I get in my room also 4GB download rate.)

"… Create a second Fritzbox as a repeater and then connect this with LAN s.Calculator…"

This will be the best solution since gaming requires the least possible ping times.

I would say if your motherboard allows a wireless card if not Powerline (DLAN)

The design says first little about the quality. There are good and bad Wi-Fi sticks, cards and mothermoards.

Advantage of sticks and Fritzbox is that you can place them better. With a card the PC shields itself. Whether this is a problem depends on which direction the router is in.

Another alternative would be DLan, ie network via the power cable. Prerequisite is that both sockets must be connected to the same phase.

I had also considered that, but DLAN is a little worse than LAN (I learned at that time in the training) and our house is a little older and I'm not sure how well the wiring is done in this house xD

I would not recommend DLAN alone because of your internet connection (100.000 = VVDSL?). The send in the same frequency range as the powerline system works and these can then interfere with each other. In the worst case, you have problems with the Internet connection, in the best case only a slight loss of the download rate.

Many thanks. Suppose I access a WLAN card, which one could you recommend and full and good internet to gamble on?

Well, what hardware is already there? Otherwise, you can also work on Fritz Repeater. The 1750E from AVM e.g. Has also a LAN output where you can connect the computer again. Is just in the end more universal, because you're just independent and can connect any device with LAN.

What kind of computer do you have? (If you really want a recommendation for a WLAN card components of the computer would be important )

Lo

Whether WLAN card, stick or integrated does not matter at first. A stick is not bad just because it is a USB stick. On the contrary, I only recommend sticks, because they are much easier to use and in case of doubt you can also place them on a USB extension cable somewhere in the room so that they receive better reception.

It depends on the exact device and there's e.g. My TP-Link Archer T2UH stick significantly better than the integrated WLAN of my relatively new B450 motherboard. With the stick I create three rooms over 5 GHz WLAN still almost 100 Mbit / s, with the integrated WLAN just 20.

Alternative would be an access point, of course, then you could also other devices via LAN in your room cabling. But if it's just about the PC, just a stick would be a pretty good solution.
