MOIN… I recently took over my mother's laptop and put it on again. Now all FN buttons no longer work so for example louder and softer / brighter and darker. Since I find these functions very convenient I would like them again. I hba already tried something on the Internet, but unfortunately I can't continue.

Download and install the necessary drivers and utilities (Win7 or Win8) for your laptop. - Win10 drivers are not offered.
Do I have to register my device with ASUS first? I will not see a download link or so when I select the operating system.

To 1 .: No, just select the operating system. After that, the window opens down with the driver downloads (in Zip folders).
To 2 .: When upgrading to Win10 and during the installation Windows looks online (preferably via LAN) the device drivers, downloads and installs them.
Mostly that works.
