I would like to start producing beats. I downloaded the trial version of FL Studio a week ago and have only been using my laptop since then! Since I also want to reopen my projects and do the whole thing more professionally, I now wanted to make some investments and am now looking for help with the things I need.
what I already have:
Laptop (HP Omen)
What I want to buy:
-I was thinking of a master keyboard (but I'm not very familiar with it)
-FL Studio Signature Edition (16 plugs)
-Reasonable headphones since rental apartment
Of course I would like to invest more money at some point, but I still lack the right know-how. So I'm not looking for a cheap stuff, but also for something that I can still use in the future, but which is now not completely off the budget.
How much is your budget?
I would always do that with the Native Instruments machine.
As a keyboard, I recommend the M Audio 49.
The DAW doesn't really matter, little tip:
Take a look at several Youtubers on the subject and then buy the program that your favorite YouTube user uses.
Because you like to watch it and if the whole program looks the same, it is much easier.
For everything about 400-500 euro (without program)
Okay thanks! I'll have a look at the board… I'm currently watching a lot of Chuki Beats / KyleBeats because I haven't found a good German Youtuber yet.
I think you should at least have a look at the machine. It is also very good for performing live. You can also use it to sample and slice very easily.
And to see what you can do with it if you're an absolute nerd and genius…
FL is ok… Or Ableton / Cubase. Ultimately, you can make good music with everyone.
As a midi keyboard I would either use the M-Audio code 49/61, here you can still get drum pads and faders / knobs and if you are not a professional pianist, the key quality is completely sufficient.
Otherwise, as already mentioned by Stefan, machine / machine micro would be an option, you will definitely get a lot of good software at Native Instruments. For control, you can also consider the Komplete Kontrol S-Series Mk1 or A-Series, but they are not ultra cheap, I would maybe look around on the used market.
