Why do I only get around 50 mbit with an hp laptop (approx. 1 year old), but with a samsung tablet around 200 mbit at a contractual 250 mbit with fritzbox 6490 cable?
Because you have probably used the cheapest, and deliberately not cheap, equipment variant of your laptop and therefore have a WLAN card in it, which leaves a few features open in the standards.
