I had to reset the PC because my PC had caught a virus. When I set up the PC again, I noticed that I had Windows 10 Pro on it and that it was not activated. Before, I had Windows 10 Home on it. So I called HP and asked how such an activation works. When I reset my laptop, I was initially happy that it was working again. But when I started the laptop the next day, it only took 5 minutes until it went to the login screen and when I then logged in, it took another 5 minutes until the desktop was completely set up, i.e. With all symbols and so. I thought that would be normal after reactivation, but it's still like that today. The reactivation was in December last year. Does anyone know why it is so slow and if you can somehow fix it again. We don't know your hardware or what else is installed
And I always advise against such a "reset" anyway, because it takes longer than a reinstallation of Win10 and you still have way too many useless tools on it, especially at HP
And have Win10Home on it and after "Reset" suddenly Pro can't actually work either.
I would recommend you: Have a USB stick prepared for you using the MediaCreationTool and then install Win10 correctly over it
That's exactly what the Hp employee told me, and that's what I did
THAT, however, did not write in your "question" or I read it over…
Then maybe you indicated during the installation that he should install Pro because you didn't have a key at hand?!
So… The employee said that if he asks me for a product key, I should just skip this question. Since I have a digital home license, it would automatically activate Home. So I entered my Microsoft account and it activated Windows.
Well, if it's activated, then you probably have the right version
And why it is so slow: As I said, I have no idea. Depending on hardware, installed software and and and
Once again put a picture of my data in question
