I have an HP Envy laptop from 2016. For a few months now it has suddenly stopped playing a game. It usually helps to restart the laptop a few times. Because then the Laggs disappear. According to the seller, the laptop would actually be sufficient (has a Core i7) to play with. No matter whether Minecraft, which is really not very expensive now, or GTA V, when I start the game for the first time, it lies around like stupid. Then, after restarting the laptop 1 to several times, it suddenly runs smoothly (also GTA). I have already looked at the Task Manager but even if it is lagging, the game is the only thing that is running. It's just annoying and time consuming to restart the laptop a few times before the game runs smoothly. At GTA it always seems to me that the laptop does not notice that it is lying down. Because the ventilation runs to the minimum when it is flat. But when it runs smoothly, the ventilation is suddenly very loud and you can see how the laptop works. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if the laptop has a problem.
Do you have enough RAM? How much does he have at his disposal?
It has 16GB of RAM.
Oh ok. Did you try to clean the hard drive? If you go to the hard drives in Explorer and clean up leg properties, you can clean up old update installations. Sometimes that can slow things down
OK thank you
I'll try it. But why is it not there after a few restarts?
