Laptop does not recognize that a Blu-Ray is in the drive?

I have an HP laptop with Windows 10 and this does not recognize that there's anything in the CD drive. I'm shown that there's nothing in the CD drive even though I have taken the CD out twice and put it back in and opened and closed the CD drive several times

For what reason does my laptop not recognize the Blu-ray Disc?

Because you have no br drive but only dvd.

As a rule, computers / laptops only have one DVD drive. BluRay is not supported!
