I've switched it on and off several times, but nothing helps. After the restart, the connection to the Wi-Fi network only loads (if I don't break it off, then for hours) but nothing happens. There's also no error message.
By the way, Wi-Fi is turned on. I've already tried it here several times…
A connection to other networks is possible.
Incidentally, this is an older HP model with Windows. It is not possible to switch to another device because I can't take part in the online seminars with my Apple devices.
Can the other devices communicate via WLAN?
Why can't these Apple devices take part in the online seminars?
Yes, I can easily connect to my other devices.
I just managed to connect to another network with my laptop. Unfortunately, it's not a real network, so I still can't get on the internet.
Regarding 2) I don't know why it is not possible to get into the seminar room with Apple devices. Others have the problem too. Presumably this is due to the system at my university.
Are the drivers up to date? Any Windows Updates Pending? Network already deleted and reconnected?
I'm not sure what you mean by driver. At least yesterday I had no problems until my laptop crashed for other reasons. It has stopped working since then.
I've just turned the network off and on again, but nothing has changed…
I updated the Windows updates yesterday. When they were completely installed and my laptop should start up again, the crash and internet problems occurred, as well as some other problems…
If you check for updates again, will they come back? It could be that these were not installed or downloaded properly.
Thank you very much. It is very likely due to the updates. Yesterday I received another message that I had to install updates again. When I tried this, my laptop crashed again. Then I got a message that the updates could not be installed correctly…
I no longer see any available updates even though I haven't tried installing the updates again. I don't know if this might have been installed by itself, but unfortunately the problem still persists…
Reset the network settings of your laptop.
Open the command prompt (cmd) as administrator (right click => run as administrator) and execute the following commands one after the other:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig / release
ipconfig / renew
ipconfig / flushdns
netcfg -d
Then restart your laptop.
