Laptop battery or charging cable broken?

My laptop has not been charging for a few days. The funny thing is that if I plug in the charging cable appears in the lower right of the toolbar at the battery the sign that the laptop is connected to the power. However, there's 0% and "will not load". And yet I can use the laptop. But only if he is connected. As soon as I pull out the charging cable, the laptop goes off immediately. Even the orange lamp, which lights up when the laptop is charging, does not light up. Can someone help me?

Read your question through and think: if the laptop is running with cable then the power supply can't be broken.

Thus, either the charging electronics or the battery is defective. In most cases it is the battery.

In your case, the battery obviously has a high internal resistance and it is no longer perceived as a battery by the electronics.
