The notebook's speaker remains silent as long as there's a microphone in the USB port. Does anyone know a trick how I can hear what I have recorded when the microphone is inserted?
Simply click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner and select the speaker.

in properties of "loudspeaker" both loudspeaker and microphone are active. Nevertheless, there's no sound when the microphone is plugged in. As soon as I pull the microphone out of the USB port, sound comes out of the notebook speaker.
