I'm looking for a cheap but good notebook for my mother.
She would mostly use it for work and needs the common Office programs like Word and Excel.
It is also important to her that she can use it on the go (so it shouldn't be too bulky) and the battery should last a long time. It would also be good if the notebook worked relatively quickly.
If you can think of an option under 400 euro, that would be ideal!

Moin, got a very fast one from Dell. Costs exactly 400 euro and has a good performance. The only catch: only 256 GB SSD (storage). I would simply attach an external hard drive to it via USB. Costs around 40 euro for 1 TB
