My sat nav is connected to my laptop and also appears as a device, but it does not appear as a device that can be ejected at all. This USB icon does not show up in my taskbar. Is there another way to eject the Navi?
PS. I'm using a Windows 10 laptop
Have today updated the software of my GPS. If you use the software from TomTom for example Closes, you can unplug the Navi easily the USB plug.
Ours is from Garmin
That makes no difference in this case.
The ejecting comes only with USB sticks and SD cards. For mobile phones, tablets and Navis not.
So you are sure that nothing will be deleted if I simply remove the cable?
Yes. You can also turn off the Navi. Before you remove the cable.
