Water running over Macbook - what should I do?

My mother cleaned the kitchen recently and she was listening to music on our Macbook. She fell over where there was water and the water flowed over half the keyboard. There are open connections etc. On the sides of the Macbook, and water has also run into these openings.

That was about a week ago and we haven't tried to turn this Macbook on since we were afraid that turning it on would make anything worse.

My mother wanted to hand in the Macbook to have it 'repaired', but wherever she wanted to go are on vacation right now. : /

Should I try turning on the laptop or is it not a good idea and should I wait until this shop is open again?

It has to dry completely.

Put it back in a warm dry room or something.

I wouldn't take it straight away, that would be too expensive for me.

If you have no idea about it then let a specialist / woman run there.

Don't put the Macbook on and put it in a big bag of rice until the shop is open again. In itself, however, Apple has rubber seals that can withstand rain or a tumbled water glass in all its products. Nevertheless, the MacBooks are not iP certified

Let it dry well, should be teaching anyway, so should be over after a week. Put him a towel or something. If you are no longer on the outside and in the connections, you could try turning it on if you really want to. Otherwise there's a specialist.
