I'm a club DJ and hopefully the parties will start again at some point. Anyway:
We have a fog machine in the club where I'm resident. Unfortunately, I always have to wipe my laptop with a damp cloth after putting it on, because a minimally greasy film has formed on the keyboard.
I will soon buy an expensive MacBook and of course take it with me to the club to hang up when it starts again. But then I don't want to screw it up like that.
Hence my question: Are there any fog fluids that do not lubricate and that can be used in conjunction with expensive equipment?
There are fluids without glycol, which supposedly shouldn't produce a film. I haven't tested it myself yet, but it has been slumbering in my shopping cart for a few weeks.
How big is the club? 10m2? Or is the fog machine aimed directly at the laptop? Otherwise, I have no explanation whatsoever that this film could form.
Otherwise, pictures of the club, the installed technology and the type designations might be helpful.
