Tablet / notebook for school?

Since I'm attending the upper school next year, I'd like to get a tablet. Can you recommend tablets with pen function, sufficient battery capacity and good price-performance ratio? (max 500 Euro)

Sounds weird but Apple is definitely NOT recommended, too expensive, too unnecessary (well-censored here my words away), use Ipads and have more problems than the useful
