I'm missing on my Samsung R70 laptop, the brightness controller, the i.d.R should be anchored in energy options (Win7). My graphics card is also not recognized, only the standard VGA. Various driver updates did not help.
My guess: Since the laptop gets very hot, the heat could have deformed a GPU solder joint. Or another component within the circuit has dissolved. Ahead of the point collectors of the Coummunity: The fan is clean.
Is my assumption justified?

This may sound like you have not installed the graphics card driver of your laptop yet.
Check out the SAMSUNG website, search your model there and install the video driver.
It's been dealt with. Was actually at the circuit of the graphics card. Have a defective Kermaikkondensator exchanged and the pins shorted together via a wire. Now I could install a driver and the controls are back.
