Switching between two desktops?

I recently got a monitor for my laptop. Now I've seen someone have one screen on the left and the other on the right, and then when they went to the left on the right, the mouse pointer was on the left screen. I've come to the point where I can switch between these two screens, but when I click something on the left screen, I only see it on the right screen. Can someone tell me how to operate each screen individually?

I use Windows 10 Home as the operating system.

Um, grab the window / program and "drag" it onto the other monitor

or check whether the following option is selected under "Multiple screens" in the display settings: "Extend these displays". Because that's what you need

I do not completely understand…

You have two screens and you can move the screens back and forth as you like.

That shouldn't be a problem at all.

Is

With Windows key and P so Win + P you can change the screens to expand if that is not the case, but I think so, otherwise you would see the same thing on both screens

When I click something on the left screen, e.g. PowerPoint, it opens on the right.

Is

Then you take PowerPoint from the right screen and drag it to the left.

This should really be the simplest thing like breathing or walking (if you have no restrictions)

Ah, now I got it, I first did it in the system tray, thank you for that!

Is

Well if it's nothing else.
You probably have to know first, but as you can see
it's a very simple thing.
