So, you're using Chromecast. That's why it doesn't work. If your TV has a normal HDMI input then it will work. With Chromecast or FireTv, however, not

That means you don't get any picture on the television? Not only on Sky Go? That is of course something completely different.
Did you even select the correct source channel on the television? Is a second screen even shown on the laptop in the display settings?!

I would bet that you didn't set the correct signal source or didn't set Windows to expand the image on screen 2.
I can't explain Chromecast to you because I've never used it, but I'm very sure that you can't watch Sky Go with it because the Sky Go app recognizes that Chromecast is in use and will therefore not start.

So HDMi connections all work. You can tell me where to find the settings screen.
I don't doubt that the channels all work. Nevertheless try all signal sources through whether your laptop picture appears somewhere.
