Do you think manufacturers can scrape TV with update?

I have a TV with 40 inches (1080p) from about 2011 with which I'm still super satisfied today, I use the eh only s.Laptop and watch series, etc.

Anyway now to my question: I have written to the support if you have an update for me because I can find it on the website nowhere, then came the answer I suppose absolutely the exact serial number with otherwise I do not get the file. (I think the coworker has looked for it extra of when the television is… And then sent me the appropriate update file for it. I think the manufacturer wants aufjedenfall anyway that you buy new TVs, and I think the update happens something wrong… ^^

and then you have only a black picture, although you can buy boards after the cost but also around the 80 euro + shipping. So you are definitely forced to buy a brand new TV. What do you think about that?
