I wanted to install my Age of Empires 3 game on my new laptop, but it tells me the product code is invalid. I had it on my old PC too, does that mean I can never play it again?

Delete on the old PC no, you could only try to copy files with saved games etc. And drag them over. You can take the saved games with you anyway if that's important.

You would have to go to C / User / (your name) / saved games and there would have to be either the publisher name or something
Is it the wrong version of the game? There's also a game with both extensions and a normal Aoe3 product code will probably not work.
The original game (not the Steam version) should be able to be registered on several PCs. In a pinch, give it a try by disconnecting from the internet. Or see if your keyboard on your laptop is set to German. Has it ever happened that I had set it to English and then the "Y" suddenly became a "Z" etc.
