Buying a laptop for school?

People desperately need help for school.

I have to make a powerpoint presentation for my graduation but only have an old notebook there's no powerpoint or open office installed.

What should I do now to buy a laptop? If so, is free PowerPoint included everywhere? I really do not know what I should do

No, PowerPoint is not free. There's a demo, but a full version of 2016 doesn't even cost 20 euro (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Why can't you install PowerPoint etc. On your old laptop?

PowerPoint etc. Is not necessarily installed, but there's a limited free online version. Of course there are also free options. But a new laptop certainly can't hurt, because you'll need it a lot later.

At some schools you get an email address with which you can use the whole thing for free, including mine.
