I once did not shut down my laptop and pressed the shutdown button? Then I switched it on again but it is frozen solid it only shows the Wi-Fi anymore?
Is the laptop broken now?
It should be avoided, but nothing really happens.
I've done it very often, nothing has ever happened before
Install Windows 10 new, there are videos on Youtube. After that, it should work properly again. Switching off the button can damage Windows files. The emphasis is on being able to. Otherwise nothing will break except maybe the battery
Think of it like a set table. If you knock it over, everything that was on it will be on the floor, but the table itself is almost certainly intact.
Try this: Remove the battery, press the power button for 30 seconds.
Start up again, then it will probably go again.
Where's the stuff that "fell off the table"? It lies somewhere on the hard drive as garbage and fills the registry entries. Once that happens, it's probably not very bad. In the long run, all that junk would slow down the computer.
It can be switched on but it is frozen solid
This is worrying now. But what do you mean by: "It shows the Wi-Fi"? The Wi-Fi is loaded relatively late.
Do you come into "safe mode"? - Google explains how it "should" work.
No, the field where you turn on the Wi-Fi and it is frozen…
