Despite that there are many questions and answers to the problem, I have to describe the problem here anyway because it looks a little different in my situation.
The battery of my laptop (Acer Aspire VN7-792G-70MT, manufactured January 2016 and owned since approx. 2017) has not worked since I bought it. Back then I got it from a computer shop for 30% of the new price because I knew it for a long time. He also said that he had a different battery installed and tried which was not charged by the power adapter. So now back to topic: I always use it in power supply mode and wanted to switch from the living room to the bedroom, whereupon I shut down the laptop, disconnected the power supply, connected the laptop with the power adapter plugged in again in the bedroom. But there begins the problem and the LED from the power adapter does not light up and my laptop does not turn on following. I checked if this is plugged in correctly and also if the place where I put it works well. Nothing brings me to the solution, not even the previous place in the living room. Can it happen that the power supply from now on gave up the ghost or is it more likely that in the laptop u.a. The mainboard or charging socket has suffered damage? But if nothing lights up on the power supply, would the power supply be dead, right?
Update while writing: When writing I've seen the LED of the power supply again, the power adapter connected to the laptop and pressed on power whereupon the keyboard has lit up briefly and the laptop immediately went out again and the LED on the power supply is extinguished in the same millisecond.
Now I somehow doubt that the power supply is to blame. I look forward to your answers and thank you very much!
Lit the power adapter normally when it is not connected to the laptop?
Usually it shines, as far as I can remember. Not anymore. While I wrote the thread, it was just on power and after 20-30 minutes, it is lit up then I have connected as described above. In spite of that, it shines off and does not plug in.
