Hi everyone,
I wanted to get my laptop in shape and when I dismantled it I noticed that I only have one RAM bar inside.
Can someone explain why? And why is there a second Solt that is unfilled? Can I install two 4GB bars?
Yes, you can install a second one. But please only the exact same, otherwise there may be problems.
Because you bought it with only one RAM bar in it.
Yes, you can refit it, preferably buy the same RAM bar again.
Because you bought it like that. You should have told the seller when buying if you want more RAM
This is often the case, after all, the device should grow according to its requirements and leave doors open. You don't have to have 2 same rielgel. You can also travel once 4gb and once 8gb.
This is done at the expense of DualChannel and can then completely kill the performance, especially in combination with an APU
No, it's not an act… Just thought the thing should only run with one
After looking at your picture, you should ask yourself whether it's still worth it, that's old DDR3 memory.
So the notebook should be a bit older. And the cooler also looks tiny, which suggests that there isn't much power in the notebook anyway.
But you have to know that.
In the mind it seems to be spreading that dc only works with 2 identical bars, but this is a question of organization. Different areas of a chip can also be used to achieve this, but this is also only a marginal circumstance, too little memory makes itself more unpleasant than a bit of lack of dc
Sure, that's a pretty bad thing. I have now bought an 8GB DDR3 and hope that it brings a little something. The bar has now not cost the world either
It is equally important to have an SSD, this brings even more "performance"… Fast access and quick start of the programs including WINDOWS.
Another 4 GB bar would make sense, 8GB bar is rather counterproductive.
Can I easily install an SSD there?
In the usual field of application of a laptop, it does not matter whether the RAM now has a faster clock or runs in dual channel. With 12 GB and an SSD, the box will still be noticeably faster.
Yes, you only have to search for 2.5 "SATA SSD. What processor is actually built into the laptop?
It will still run faster with 12 GB in the single channel than with the 4 GB.
Yes. Don't you have one yet?
You're right if the 8GB RAM is supported.
Nevertheless, I think 2 x 4 GB is more effective than 1 x 4 + 1 x 8 GB.
