I had my 4 year old Toshiba laptop upgraded. A 500Gb SSD memory card and 16Gb RAM was installed, in itself the laptop is pretty good (Intelcore i7 etc.) but the game Ark just doesn't run smoothly. Maybe I need a better graphics card? Or what else can I do?
ARK is very poorly optimized and that you have an i7 says 0 about whether it should go well or badly. This is mainly due to your graphics card. Which do you have in the laptop?
By the way, a SSD only shortens the loading times and RAM only brings what if you were at a capacity limit.
Maybe I need a better graphics card?
How about if you say beforehand what kind of graphics card you have?
Yes, you should probably have asked before upgrading your laptop.
I would have bought a new one anyway…
I can hardly imagine that a graphics card will fit into your case, unless a space is already provided for it.
In that case, you would have to buy a new laptop, so you could have saved yourself the upgrade.
I didn't think at all…
I think about that too, but I want to read it from him and not just think about it.
Ark is not particularly well optimized, or places high demands on the hardware. The mobile variants are always worse than the desktop brothers anyway. So it's no wonder Ark doesn't run smoothly.
