Damage to the school laptop?

I wanted to ask how it looks with liability if the borrowed school laptop is damaged (i.e. By an accident)? The laptop still works, but has a light yellow shimmer on the top right with a black background.

Sorry for the spelling, got a bit of a problem with it.

Ca

The person who caused the damage is liable. § 823 BGB

Ma

If it just turns out like that, you certainly can't blame the student for it. But if it was accidentally damaged, it should be a case for private liability.

Ma

Surely you have to sign it before it is issued. If it was simply pressed into the hand of the student, he is far from responsible for it.

Ca

You can certainly release him from liability in writing. But no school will do that.

Ma

Is the liability insurance liable for it?

Ca

If you are liable for the damage incurred, liability insurance will enter into the claims settlement. If you are not liable, she will reject the regulation, in court if necessary.
