What requirements does a laptop have to meet in order to play GTA 5?
Often times, the graphics card in laptops is not strong enough, so pay particular attention to this
The game is from 2013. Most gaming laptops are sure to perform well
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB / AMD HD 4870 1GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11)
Storage: 72 GB available space
Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible
Source is Steam. You need at least this or something similar for pleasant FPS and poor quality. With worse hardware it will look really bad with very little fps or not at all
Minimum requirements:
Operating system: Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5 GHz
Main memory: 4 GB
Graphics card: NVidia 9800 GT 1 GB / AMD HD 4870 1 GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11)
Sound card: 100% compatible with DirectX 10
Hard disk space: 65 GB
Recommended requirements:
Operating system: Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2 GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4 GHz (8 CPUs)
Main memory: 8 GB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2 GB / AMD HD7870 2 GB
Sound card: 100% compatible with DirectX 10
Hard disk space: 65 GB
These are the official requirements, but you won't have any fun with them. 100 GB of memory should be at least free. An old CPU is sufficient and a newer separate GPU. You can usually tell from the stickers on the laptop. If there's an intel i7 or i5 sticker on it (mostly blue), you can handle the processor side. If there's a green nvidia sticker on it, you are more likely to be on the safe side, even if that does not guarantee you anything.
