I have ubuntu installed on an external hard drive. On my laptop, the operating system starts without problems. But I wanted to boot it up on my desktop pc, but the operating system does not power up. Why?
You select the boot device, it is also shown but does not start or what is it exactly?
I choose the external hard drive in the boot menu. The screen will turn purple. I can choose Ubuntu. Press Ubuntu. Then come louder operations are booted, behind it is OK everywhere
then everything stops. I can't make any input via the keyboard, the arrow keys are not synonymous, the boot depends on view, so to speak
In the BIOS, select the external hard disk as the first boot device

Linux also uses drivers and is therefore machine-dependent. Installed you have it probably on the Läppi, therefore fit the drivers not for the PC.
Does not it load the appropriate drivers automatically? Internet is here
That does not help. It thinks it would be the lame one - with Windows that would not even boot in the beginning.
Ok I did not know.
Hi
I have ubuntu installed on an external hard drive.
Did you also install the bootloader in the MBR of this disk.
But I wanted to boot it up on my desktop pc, but the operating system does not power up. Why?
What does "not drive high" exactly mean?
Does the GRUB start?
Can you select the desired operating system?
Does the initrd start?

How did you get it?

My Arch system does not start on which computer I plug in the USB stick (assuming the CPU architecture is compatible.) On a laptop with an ARM processor, an x64 kernel can't run)

What is in the last 10 lines to a standstill?
