Why is my mouse lit on the laptop?

I mean the mouse under the laptop. It glows orange at the top left. I just switched it on somehow and from then on I can no longer move my mouse. On my ProBook laptop I have 2 pockets at the top and bottom. Only those from above go. Can the keys be programmed?
