Why is it so expensive?

Is there an alternative to that?

Lo

Because, So Dimm Ram is always very expensive

Ro

It's just notebook RAM. You may be happy that you can upgrade at all

Fe

What kind of laptop do you have?

You can usually use any memory stick that is compatible with it. There are only a few manufacturers who somehow restrict their devices (I think Apple did that once). Here is DDR4 SO-Dimm with 2133MHz shown, but you can also use faster RAM.

I would also not directly from the manufacturer or a computer repair shop or the like. Buying is often more expensive.

Here, for example, 4GB DDR4 Ram at Alternate for 20 euro
https://www.alternate.de/Mushkin/SO-DIMM-4-GB-DDR4-2400-Arbeitsspeicher/html/product/1336415?

Gr

I have bs530ng from Hp, because of the cpu (i3-6006U) I can only use ddr4 2133Mhz or less.

Fe

In itself, you can also install 2400MHz ram, which then clocks down and becomes a bit slower than it would normally have been at 2100MHz.

ju

You can also use any other memory. The main thing is SO DDR4 and 1.20V voltage. DIMM, e.g. From Mindfactory: https://www.mindfactory.de/...ing_sort/6

Theoretically, the speed is also irrelevant. Could also be 3000 bars, but these are more expensive and the notebook will probably only operate the bars with 2133.

Fe

Although 3000 bars are usually not much more expensive, especially if they are only a few € (5-10 euro), I would always take the 3000 bar, because you benefit somewhat from the performance, especially if you should have a Ryzen CPU.

Gr

Okay, thanks for the info

ju

However, an i3 with 2GHz is installed in the notebook. You won't notice a difference.

RAM for notebooks is usually a little more expensive than RAM for desktop PCs. If it is then advertised especially for a particular model, then anyway.
