I have a new laptop and am now copying my photos onto it.
Windows 10 automatically uploads all photos to OneDrive, but the storage space there's now full. In itself that would not be bad, the photos are stored on the laptop.
However, the photos in the folder view are for the most part no longer displayed, but only when I select and open a single photo.
Why is that and above all what can I do about it? (Except for a fee to expand the storage space at OneDrive?)
Uninstall OneDrive. Don't use that at all.
Are the photos displayed correctly again?
Most likely, because they are then taken from the storage location on the hard disk and no longer the synchronized ones from the cloud storage.
For security, you still have the original photos on the laptop.
