Right to return laptop overheating?

I bought a laptop from MediaMarkt 3-4 months ago for small things like e.g. The school. This is the "Trekstore Surfbook A13B - NFALxSW01".
At that time I noticed that it got pretty hot on the first day and I immediately contacted MediaMarkt about it, they wanted to reimburse me because they didn't have any other device (unfortunately no other in the price range). Since I needed it urgently and luckily it didn't get warm until recently, I kept it. Now it is getting hot again and I wonder if nobody can repair or exchange it if I have the right to return it?

As additional information, I can only tell you that I have taken out insurance for a 4-year guarantee with water and fall damage, etc. (almost everything except theft protection).

It would be great if someone could explain this to me. I would like to save myself the unnecessary discussion with the sellers if I hear a "Sorry" in the store.

Yes, you are still fully in the "good" guarantee.

If this is really a defect, you have to fix it.

Does it go out or is it just subjectively too warm for you?

ka

Thank you for the fast answer!

That is exactly the problem, it gets extremely hot but does not go out. It is also stupid that the laptop now hangs when you click on a folder or on the browser. I just can't understand whether it is the heat or not?!

I also have to honestly admit that for this reason I'm so annoyed by the laptop that I would even put money on it if necessary and would take a new one with me, since I'm already dependent on a new (possibly even better) one.

Take him away, but then you won't have one for 4 weeks.

sa

But if they can't make improvements, he can also walk.

If that's a legitimate shortcoming.

He doesn't have to hope for goodwill here, he has real rights.

In the event of a justified defect.

Ka

Nope. Not possible. I work in the industry. If at all, then only on goodwill.

Reworking is always possible.

sa

Yes, baby, I'm a lawyer.

If reworking does not work, it is changed or reduced.

Ka

Reworking always works. And if the part is completely replaced. That's how it is in reality.

And if it's within the manufacturer's specifications, it's over anyway. Can also be self-inflicted in some cases.

But there's always improvement.

sa

I'm not a technician, if touching up doesn't work and it's a shortage, he can walk.

He only has to have it touched up once, not 3 times.

It happens from time to time that nothing will happen.

But when you finish him off, he has to take it.

The problem is, the notebook is extremely weak, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that it often hangs. A very small SSD and little RAM add to the poor performance. In total, it's a (sorry) garbage heap. A clear bad buy.

About the "warmth problem"… Could it be that only you feel this way? Yes, such small devices get very warm, 40 ° and more on the case are not uncommon. After all, this calculator has no active cooling, which further aggravates this problem. But that can be quite normal.

Return…

First of all, the possibility of rework must be given. If this is not possible or a replacement can't be delivered, you can also be refunded money. Maybe not the full amount (you have been using it for a long time).

Ka

I can tell you 100% that the manufacturer can touch up 3 times. That is even his right. No matter if you are a lawyer. There have already been legal proceedings. So you should look it up again.
