I'm starting my engineering school in mechanical engineering soon and need a laptop.
Speak mainly elaborations of up to 60 pages approx, presentations and creating 3D models.
It should be 12-15 inches tall.
Otherwise I really don't care and I just don't know my way around laptops and don't know whether I should look in the 200-300 price range or whether I have to go towards 600-800.
A couple of example models might even be helpful.
You should look for a laptop with Ryzen 5 in the price range 500-600 euro.

In the price range mostly without Windows. So you have to install it yourself. Or Linux. Depending on what you need.
With Windows or MacOS?
Take a look at the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7

Very compact and light, good battery life, good display and extremely powerful CPU
600-800 is best. But you should wait a little longer until Lenovo is allowed to sell computers again.
You can find a top part for 200-300 if you shop around in the used market. The advantages of Thinkpads of the T, X and W series are versatile.
They all have a fantastic keyboard, all the I / O options you could want, a replaceable battery, are highly modular (if something breaks it is usually easy to replace), long battery life, and extremely durable. They are just the perfect work laptops.
There are several online shops that have used thinkpads in their range, you can google them and look around for something you like.
