Microsoft Surface Book 1, 2 or 3 - longevity of the hinge?

Has any of you had a Surface Book 1 or 2 for 3-4 years and can tell me whether the hinge is still working properly after 3, 4, 5 years? On my penultimate notebook (from another manufacturer) the hinges fell apart shortly after 2 years. For me it is about, if I already pay around 3,000 euro, that the device should also last its 5 years + … And whether or not a warranty extension to 4 years makes sense. The extended warranty on my last notebook paid off because the notebook had to be repaired after 3 years. However, it was about the hard drive.

So either it did a lot right at the beginning or it stayed functional.
