Help with wlan?

So, on my laptop in the settings it says that I have a download rate of 112 mbs, but when downloading a game in steam it is only an average of 3.6, how can I change that and why is that?

Perhaps the maximum download speed is set in the settings, this could be the problem.

That can be but on my ps4 and mobile phone the internet is faster are the steam servers or something I have little idea

I think this is due to the Steam servers, I can't imagine Steam automatically creating a download limit. I usually have little download on Steam, but I know that others have more. So far I haven't found a solution for this either. So I always had to wait.

Can you somehow connect to another server that may be faster?
