If you are using an original charging carbel to connect, a message should actually appear in the notification bar of your mobile phone where it says. Cell phone is charged via USB. When this message appears you have to tap on it and then you can switch the mode so that you can also transfer data from the mobile phone to the PC. However, if you do not have an original charging cable, make sure that it can also transfer data when buying, because the cheap cables can't.
