I have a Hewlett-Packard ProBook 64506 laptop.
This is the second which after a long hospital stay of mine then no longer started. My computer specialist tried everything possible out of battery power plug pull the battery back in and so on and immediately nothing worked even with my second laptop, he said you could not do anything I have to buy a new dumb only that I'm broke and can afford any new but desperately need a working laptop and if only for a few months.
I hear so often that it is probably possible but his laptop without battery only connected to the power supply to operate if anyone reads this and has a good idea I would be infinitely grateful and happy if he would tell me this in any case thanks once thank you, thank you, greetings, Frank
I connected my laptop directly to the electricity. Unplug the connector for connection to the laptop and connect the cables to those in the laptop.
So he works now already 3 years without accumulator. Bzw battery is in it but is no longer used.
I run my laptops for 6 years only with power supply (always battery out).
Look on eBay - Classifieds. There are tons of used laptops available. Already from 20, - (but I would be skeptical if such a cheap works fine) - From about 50, - € but you get a reasonable.
If you connect it with cable, before battery out, otherwise possibly damage.
Take out the battery, operate the laptop without it!
The battery is apparently deeply discharged, so the specialist (TV trade makes something like that) can be refreshen!
The battery should not be in parallel! Better get out of it!

4 cables go into the mainboard from the plug socket. I cut these cables and soldered directly to the power cable. So my laptop has a non detachable cable itself.
Understand. But why did not you just plug it into the power supply without soldering?
Because with me the pin in the socket was broken.
