About 2 years ago, I had the problem that moisture got into my laptop at the time. Suddenly it did not work anymore, even the battery could not recharge. Since then I have put the laptop in the corner. Last year, I tried again to turn on, but even there, the charging of the battery still did not work or not anymore. Now, just as I was tidying up, I just took the laptop out of the shelf again, inserted the battery and started an attempt to set it in motion again by battery. And lo and behold, the battery, which is probably completely empty, is now recharged. Now my question: "Does the battery need to be fully charged until the laptop is finally functional / can be switched on? Normally a laptop runs but also if you connect it without a battery to the stream or not?
It would be too good to be true if I could get the laptop, which is not that old, back to work.
My laptop from Asus supposedly works without a battery. In any case, according to the operating instructions. Not only with net. He must be used in any case.
But since he is firmly installed, I have not tried to take out.
But otherwise it should work.
I can take my battery out. Until some time ago, after 2 years ago liquid came into the laptop, neither the charging of the battery nor the laptop without battery worked. Today, lo and behold, the battery is charging again, but the laptop can't be turned on yet. That's why I mean, if it somehow maybe only works when the battery is fully charged again. Well, I let myself be surprised and just hope the laptop does not fly at the end of my ears. LG
I have a fixed battery in the notebook. When he gave up his ghost, I removed it, ordered a new original battery and rebuilt the new one. The 3 days in between, the device worked without a battery.
I can't say what it looks like with a replacement battery.
In short, unless otherwise stated, operating a laptop without a battery is usually easily possible. It is also not harmful if one operates the laptop without a battery. If the battery is still in the notebook, it may be highly recommended if you remove the battery from the notebook, if you plan to use the laptop only and permanently on the power supply, so that the battery is not charged constantly. But even here it is not particularly harmful and the battery should be able to withstand that without any problems.
