I've taken from a Youtube video that the following controller is pretty good for starters:
https://www.amazon.de/...00SCP7IB4/
My questions: is that okey for starters? And is there perhaps still ne cheaper alternative which is also sufficient for the beginning?
And still a question: I need now only a software, headphones and a laptop or? Then you can start?
How does one always come to the opinion that one can tear something with zero knowhow and hunch something?
You have to know and have a lot of music to make an evening as a DJ.
Simple calculation: per song 3 minutes would be 20 songs per hour and 100 - 120 songs for the evening. And then there are alternatives and other music to be flexible. An evening is damn long and unsatisfactory If you have neither Plan A nor Plan B there.
But good, start it. Greeting
Where do I write that I want to hang up in front of many people? I do not want to make an evening. I want to start at home for Djn. You have answered absolutely no single question from me.
But… Catch on!
Please answer my questions before I can't start. Otherwise I would not have landed here but would be on Djn…
Okay, well… This info would have been helpful, I had assumed that, I admit. A very simple start would be a free DJ software like Virtual DJ. Since you only need the calculator and MP3 files for. There you can set several decks, crossfade pitches and things like that. The MP3s are pulled onto the decks and then you can mix - just everything on the screen. You do not need the shown hardware. However, I have not worked with such a thing but classic CDDecks, mixers and now and then in addition to laptop and Virtual DJ on the mixer, so I can't tell you how you einbindest the device as a whole and what you could do with it. Greeting
Addendum: I have looked at the part times. Intuitively, this contains everything Virtual DJ on screen offers to touch. Therefore, I assume that this depends on the computer and you can do just that by hand, what I have done with the mouse. Looks really exciting. The brand is also known to me, certainly not bad. So yes, the device, calculator and music files and a headset should be enough. Greeting
Software is more important than a controller. NI Traktor as a full version is cheaper than Virtual DJ but VDJ's as FreeVersion but there are no controllers. The cost then. Serato's still there but I do not know myself.
The controller is ok for the beginning. But the key is not the controller, but the software that he controls. Why this is so, you can read here: dj-lexikon.info/midi-controller.html
Decide therefore first for a software and then for a suitable controller.
Cheaper than 200 euro is not, if you want to have something halfway usable. Please also be aware that free DJ software is almost never a good idea and often just a trial version. In the long run you lose the fun of it, which would be a pity.
My advice: Currently there's Traktor Pro 3 for only 49 euro as a full version. This is very cheap. Alternatively, I advise a Kontrol S2 MKIII. Traktor comes with the controller as a full version and the system requires almost no experience during installation.
