I have connected my laptop to my screen with an HDMI cable, but nothing comes of it, although I always did it that way.
That has happened before and the next day it went away on its own.
There's no damage to the cable and the screen is also new and correctly adjusted, so it comes from the laptop.
Could it be that the laptop's settings have been changed? Or is that also the G-Hub app?

Mostly it is due to the settings, both on the laptop and on the monitor.
With HDMI checked whether there's a (maybe) checkmark in the energy options for "Computer can switch off device…"
